The wealth management, full and discount brokerage business unit of one of Canada's top 5 banks.

The Challenge
The business unit needed to establish a Project Management Office (PMO), the supporting Project Management Methodology (PMM) and a Portfolio Management Methodology to meet an influx of projects with a few scarce resources.

The Solution
The end result included designing, developing, and implementing a PMO and the supporting PMM. The comprehensive PMM addressed governance, prioritization, resourcing, skills inventory and key performance indicators. The engagement included a disciplined process to prioritize the portfolio of projects coming into the business unit and a Portfolio Management Methodology.

The Benefits
The solution enabled the business unit to manage an influx of 40 to 50 projects ranging in size from $500M to $1MM with only 3 project managers and 10 business analysts.
